I always ask a few questions before shooting a couples big day. Here is what I asked Hannah and Karl.

Why did you choose your venue(s):

Having grown up in Ipplepen I had always dreamt of getting married in the church so that was really easy decision for us to make. My parents were married here and I was christened and also confirmed at St Andrews Church. As soon as we both saw the views of Meadfoot beach and the bay from The Osborne Hotel in Torquay we both knew this was where we wanted our wedding reception to be. It really took our breath away!

How did you hear about me?

We heard about Josh from my sisters friend Mel who recommended him. Once we looked Josh up and saw he had photographed a school friends wedding and how amazing the pictures were, we knew we had to book him for our wedding.

What do you guys do in your spare time?

Karl is an Accountant and I am Medical Secretary. We both lead busy lives and so enjoy spending our weekends going for walks on the moors or chilling out in the garden. We have 3 guinea pigs who are very much loved members of our family and they keep us busy too!

How and where did you meet one another?

We met each other on a night out in Newton Abbot just before Christmas 2015 and have been pretty much inseparable ever since!

What do you want your guests to enjoy at your wedding?

​​We want everyone to enjoy themselves and have fun! After the year we’ve all had we all need a good time and to let our hair down! Our families get on really well and so everyone is looking forward to celebrating our special day with us.

How did Karl propose?

Karl proposed at the top of the waterfall at Canonteign Falls. It was a total surprise! When we look back at pictures of that day before the proposal, we laugh as you can see the ring box in his pocket! Of course I had no idea at the time!
