SUCH an awesome day, this one.
I met Rachel and the bridal party for their preparation at Rachel’s family home in the morning. I don’t remember many brides being as relaxed and calm before their wedding ceremony. Lovely atmosphere and lots of giggles were had.
Joe and the boys got ready at Neadon Barn, where the reception would be. The boys were joking around and very chilled before they got changed into their summer suits and set off for the church just 15 minutes away. The ceremony was held in Bovey Tracey and had lots of light-heartedness throughout. One of the best men led a fantastic talk regarding marriage and its imperfections, instead focusing on the premise of forgiveness and teamwork. Rachel’s brother Will played the piano whilst guests arrived and for all of the bands’ songs too. A service that anyone would have felt at home and welcomed. After the ceremony, everyone headed over to Neadon Barn. It was my first time of shooting here but I thought it was beautiful and provided guests enough space to use and enjoy all of the garden games that Rachel and Joe provided.
I genuinely loved being part of this wedding and wish these two all the very best for the future
[For any photographers: second shot by Aaron of Aaron Golden Photography - very talented, at both stills and video. I used Nikon D750’s with 35mm and 85mm prime lenses. One Nikon SB600 for the first dance both on and off camera].
